This is an opportunity to learn to chant a haftorah using the musical notes (trope) that have been taught for centuries. Liturgy of the Shabbat morning service will also be studied. The course, taught by Linda Benish, who has tutored countless b'nai mitzvah candidates, will interface with Rabbi Mishkin's Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah course; those wishing to participate in a Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony must take both courses.
