The relationship between Hindus and Jews goes back over 3000 years. And there are many similarities between Hindu and Jewish mysticism. Dr. Siddhartha S. Nadkarni will discuss the notion that a divine substratum pervades everything in the world – and will use examples from Hinduism and Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) to show that both religions describe these mystical concepts in similar ways.
Are Hinduism and Judaism sister religions? What are the similarities? How do neuroscience and physics factor into the discussion?
Dr. Nadkarni’s talk is designed to help bring together the JCC’s Jewish community and Indian community in a dialogue to help us better understand each other’s traditions.
