The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County presents on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 2 pm, Jews in High Tech in New Jersey, a talk by Howard Jacobs. Tickets are $3 members, $5 non-members.
Howard Jacobs, of the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey, will present a talk on the achievements of Jewish scientists at New Jersey universities and research institutions, such as Bell Laboratories and RCA.

Jacobs, who grew up in the Catskills, went to Union College in Schenectady, New York, where he received a BA in mathematics and an MS in Computer Science. After joining Bell Labs, Jacobs moved to central New Jersey. He spent his career in a number of different software development jobs for Bell Labs and AT & T, working on problems related to customer satisfaction, computer aided design of microprocessors, and design of data communication networks. He spent the last 15 years of his career working on the architecture of enterprise business systems. Jacobs retired in 2014 after 41 years with AT & T and now resides with his wife in Monroe, New Jersey.
